Knowing their various occupational careers and the processes by which they form helps us form and develop our own careers in an informed way. It also enables us to grasp changes in the broader occupational structure. The survey, which is proceeded by the 1973 National Survey of Occupational Mobility, was modified to carry more survey items than the original one. A women's survey was also conducted in 1983, which slightly differs from the men's in
