survey collects information and studies the employment of and welfare for long-term care workers, in order to develop policies for securing long-term care workers and promoting employment consists of a survey for workplaces (hereinafter, the [Workplace Survey]) and a survey for long-term care workers (hereinafter, the [Worker Survey]).\n\nThe [Workplace Survey] has been conducted annually since 2002 (Heisei 14) and the [Worker Survey] since 2003 (Heisei 15), and for the 2009 (Heisei 21) edition of the survey, as before, discussion meetings with experts were held to decide on survey methods, survey items/contents, etc. before conducting the survey.\n\nNotable characteristics of the 2009 survey are that the [Workplace Survey] adds new survey items on managerial responses in conjunction with revisions of long-term care fees, and subsidies/grants, and emphasizes gathering detailed information on each of these matters, and that the [Worker Survey] adds new survey items on “what was explained and implemented as improvements to treatment in response to revisions of long-term care fees,” “impetus for accepting the job,” etc., and the survey has been designed to gather
