Such structural changes in the labor market cannot go without greatly affecting corporate labor management, life designing of individual workers, and social security policies including pension. Thus, it will become an important policy issue to study the way employment of middle-aged workers should be in order to cope with the expected changes in the future. Foreseeing a reformed pension system, this survey aims to clarify what consciousness middle-aged workers (in their 40s and 50s) have about future employment. The survey is made up of a workers' questionnaire on employment consciousness and a companies' questionnaire on employment policy for this particular
