Given these circumstances, women's working styles have become diversified. Other than full time employees, the number of non-full-time employees, including part-time, contract, and temporary workers, has been increasing; thus, a trend of diversification of employment and working conditions can be observed. It is assumed that this trend is sparked by a change in the work environment and consciousness of lifestyle.\n On the other hand, work opportunities seem to be expanding not only in companies but also in non-profitable social activities including community welfare and environmental protection. The results of this study have been reported in \"A diversified workforce of women and the use of occupational capabilities, 2000,\" and it broadly explores the status of the diversified workforce of women. In addition, it investigates the background and factors behind the diversification of women's working styles from the perspective of working conditions, willingness to use occupational abilities, lifestyle, and value by expanding the scope of the study from paid-work to include non-paid work, which comprises volunteer activities triggered by the Hanshin Awaji earthquake by labor-management unions, employees, and local residents. Data offered by SSJDA is the result of the \"Research on female workers' actual conditions and use of occupational ability\"; in this study, participants were contacted and brought together by companies, in order to understand the status of employment and social participation of employed women.
