The survey was designed to enable longitudinal comparison of changes in the state of implementation of English language education in elementary schools.\n\nThe characteristics of this survey may be summarized as follows:\n\n　1. Understanding guardians’ attitudes to English language education in elementary schools\n　2. Understanding the actual state of English language learning in elementary schools\n　3. Understanding gaps between guardians and teachers and schools by comparing against the “Survey of Teachers”\n　4. Designed for longitudinal comparison\n\nGuardians’ attitude to elementary school English is thought to be related to conditions at the schools their children are attending. Therefore, in this survey study, a survey (school survey) was conducted of curriculum coordinators in target schools (31 schools) on the state of English education (activities) implementation at each school, in parallel with the “Survey of Parents.” However, since the results of this survey cover only the target schools, the results of a previously conducted “Survey of Teachers” (Survey No. 0713 ) should be referenced for nationwide
