This year's survey was conducted for the purpose of understanding the situation and realities of life and workplace of the union members, which is necessary to advance the 2001 Shunto.   Using some of the search items used in the past, this survey tries to investigate whether union members feel \"quality, richness and social justice\" in their lives and, if not, the reason. It also tries to find out what kind of life style union members wish to pursue.  This time as well as last time questionnaires were distributed to medium and small-sized unions through regional unions under
