This 2000 survey, the 36th of the kind, was carried out when the student life has entered an extremely difficult situation.\n Since the campas life of university students has a large place depending on their parents, it is very severe reflecting parents' economic conditions. Moreover, when there is also a background that an unemployment rate rises, employment uneasiness for the students is growing severe steadily.\n The survey demonstrates how, under such circumstances, the students are trying their best to polish themselves in various moments in student life in preparation for the day they start a career life. The survey also demonstrates the fact that students are actually doing what they want to do and getting what they want to get within their limited budget and making both ends meet according to their
