Separate questionnaires were given to companies and employees to approach the objective from both sides. The first of the corporate survey appeared in August, 1980, and this is our second one. Specifically, the corporate questionnaire aimed to capture the current and future state of employees benefit plans with respect to (1) livelihood guarantee during employment, (2) asset formation, and (3) livelihood guarantee after retirement. The employees' questionnaire, on the other hand, aimed to grasp their level of understanding of benefit plans as well as their needs at different life stages in relation to such plans.
