The Kobe Bridge heading to Port Island is two-tiered, with separate upper and lower lanes, but it was damaged in the earthquake and repair work continued. What appeared here is a temporary bridge spanning the middle of the Kobe Bridge from the tip of the 3rd Pier (bypass). Cars going to Port Island cross this temporary bridge, and on the way back |
