| 概要 | 本格的な高齢社会を目前に控え，高齢期において，誰もが生きがいを持ち，安心して充実した生活を送ることができる心豊かな長寿社会を築くためには，国民一人一人がそれぞれの立場で地域社会に参加し，協力していくことが重要であり，特に高齢者には，これまで培ってきた経験や能力を生かした積極的な参加が求められている。 このような観点から，本調査は，地域社会の参加に関する高齢者の意識を把握することによって，今後の高齢社会対策の推進に資することを目的として，1988年，1993年，1998年に引き続き実施されたものである。 主要な調査項目は，(1)地域社会に参加するための環境，(2)社会参加活動についての実態と意識，(3)地域活動についての考え方，(4)世代間交流についての実態と意識，である。 To build an enduring society where everybody feels worthwhile and can enjoy a peaceful and fulfilling life in a truly aging society, it is important that each individual citizen participate in and cooperate with local communities. The participation of the elderly, in particular, should be sought to make use of their accumulated experience and skills. It has been the viewpoint of this survey, also conducted in 1988, 1993, and 1998 for the purpose of contributing to the promotion of future measures the aging society through understanding attitudes of the elderly toward participation in local community. The main survey items are (1) environment for participating in the local community, (2) actual situation of and attitudes to social participation activities，(3) thoughts on local activities，and (4) actual situation of and attitudes to intergenerational interactions. |
