| 概要 | 「学生の消費生活に関する実態調査」は，大学生の生活，主に経済的な側面と大学生の意識や行動を明らかにし，結果を生協の諸活動や事業に反映させることによって，大学生の生活をより充実したものとする目的で，1963年から毎年10月に実施されている。2011年に実施された本調査は47回目にあたる。 今回の調査では，過去の調査でも共通して設定している調査項目（生活費や消費行動など）に加えて，2011年3月11日に起こった東日本大震災に関する質問項目を設け，震災以降の意識・行動の変化，ボランティアの参加状況などについて実態把握を行っている。 今回の調査結果からは，下宿生の仕送り額減少，自宅生の奨学金受給率の増加といった，長く続く経済不況が学生およびその家庭の経済生活を引き続き圧迫している様子や，この状況下での就職活動が学生に与える精神的・経済的負担の大きさが浮かび上がる。また，東日本大震災の影響は，学生の意識・行動の両面に大きく現れている。防災意識の向上や，人と人とのつながりを大切に思い，被災地のために役立ちたいという気持ちが，性別・地域間で差はあるものの，多くの学生に芽生えていることがわかる。 The “Fact-finding Survey on Student Life” has been conducted every October since 1963 with the objective of clarifying the state of university students’ lifestyles, especially, financial life, and the views and behavior of university students, to enhance the lives of university students through the implementation of the results in the activities and operations of university co-operatives. The 2011 survey is the 47th survey.This time, in addition to question items posed in previous surveys (lifestyle expenses, consumer behavior, etc.), we have also included question items related to the Great East Japan Earthquake that happened on March 11, 2011 to understand the reality of changes in people’s consciousness/behavior, and situation of people’s participation as volunteers.The results of this survey bring to the fore the pressure that the long-ongoing recession continues to exert on students and their families’ economic lives, in the form of decreases in amounts remitted to boarding students and increases in the rate of students commuting from home who receive scholarships, as well as the gravity of the mental and fiscal burden that job-hunting activities in these circumstances places on students. In addition, the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake are widely apparent both in students’ attitudes and in their behavior. Raised awareness of disaster prevention and feelings of valuing connections between people and wanting to be useful for disaster-affected areas have evidently sprouted in many students, albeit with differences between genders and regions. |
