| 概要 | 日本学生支援機構は，2004年度に，大学院で第一種奨学金の貸与を受けた者の3割を上限として，在学中に特に優れた業績を挙げた者を対象に，貸与期間終了時に奨学金の全部または一部の返還を免除することができる「特に優れた業績による返還免除制度」を導入した。 本調査は，免除認定者の社会での活躍状況を確認することにより，本制度の効果を検証するため，免除認定を受けてから5年を経過した者を対象として，現況等について行われた調査である。 In 2004, the Japan Student Services Organization implemented the “Exemption from Repayment for Graduate School Students with Particularly Outstanding Academic Achievements System,” which enabled the exemption from repayment of all or part of scholarship funds at the end of the allowance period for currently enrolled students with high levels of academic achievement, for up to a maximum of 30 percent of individuals who had received type-1 scholarships in graduate school. This survey investigated the current situation of individuals who had been certified as exempt from repayment five years prior in order to delineate the activities in society of such individuals and thus verify the effectiveness of the system. |
