| 概要 | 現代の日本の子どもたちは，不足感のまったくないままに成長してきた。換言するなら，現代の子どもたちは，充足する楽しみを知らないのである。何でもあるのが当たり前の中で育っているので，それが当たり前であり，不足する事態など考えられない。そうした意味では「もったいない感覚」をもてない子どもたちである。というより，考え方によると，「もったいない感覚」そのものが失われつつあるのが，現在なのである。 豊かな社会の中で，子どもに欠乏感をいかに与えていくのか。子どもの成長を考えるにあたっての新しい重要な課題である。 本調査では，このような視点のもと，豊かな社会といわれる現代に生きる子どもたちはこの豊かな環境にどんな感じを抱いているのか，さらに，子どもたちの環境の重要な部分である家庭にも目を向け，子どもたちの中にある「もったいない感覚」を探る。 Modern Japanese children grow up with a sense of abundance and little experience of the opposite. In other words, today's children know the joy of having everything they need and never having to go without. They grow up in a world where everything is taken for granted, and they cannot imagine a shortage. Hence, today’s children are not mindful of wastefulness. Rather, according to one way of thinking, sensitivity to mottainai (waste) is being lost. How can we teach children to be mindful of wastefulness in today's affluent society? This is an important new issue in children's development. With this in mind, this survey aims to ascertain how children living in today's society feel about their affluent environment and measure their sensitivity to wastefulness by focusing on the family as an important part of their environment. |
