| 概要 | 電子メディアの中で育つ子どもたちが，電子メディアにおぼれることなく，健やかに成長するために，何に気をつけたらよいのか。本調査は，メディアの中でも，とくにテレビゲームとパソコンの出現が子どもたちの世界をどのように変化させているかを探り，教師や親たちが子どもにどんな環境を整えてあげたらよいかを考える資料とするために実施されたものである。主な調査内容は次のとおり。子どもたちの電子メディアの所有・使用の実態，テレビゲームに興味を持つ子どもはパソコンにも興味を示すか，パソコンなどの機械は男女による得手・不得手の差があるか，メディアに親しむことにより人とのかかわりが不得手になったり自然への興味が削がれるか，メディアへの興味・能力への家庭や学校環境の影響等。また、各クラスのプロフィールについても、別途、調査している。なお今回の調査では，メディア教育を積極的に推進している小学校と，そうでない通常の小学校の両方からサンプルを得ている。 Which aspects of children’s lives should we pay attention to ensure that modern children, who are growing up in the era of electronic media, develop healthily, without being overwhelmed by it? This survey was conducted to determine how the emergence of electronic media, especially video games and computers, is changing children’s world. The results are expected to inform teachers and parents as to the ideal environment they should provide for their children. The main survey content is as follows: the actual state of children's ownership and use of electronic media, whether children who are interested in video games are also interested in computers, whether there is a gendered difference in people’s ability to use computers and other machines, whether familiarity with media diminishes children’s interpersonal skills and lessens their interest in nature, and whether children's interest in and ability to use media are affected by their home and school environments. Additionally, each class profile was surveyed separately. This survey obtained samples from both elementary schools that are actively promoting media education and normal elementary schools that are not actively promoting media education. |
