| 概要 | 子どもを育て，しつける上でどれだけほめればよいのか，叱ればよいのかの判断は，親や教師にとって永遠の課題といっても過言ではない。今回の調査では，主に親に焦点を絞り，保護者からほめられた体験・叱られた体験について，詳細に子どもたちの声を聞いている。父親や母親から，どのようなときに，どの程度ほめられたり叱られたりしているのか。親はどのようなやり方で，ほめたり叱ったりしているのか。また，叱られたりほめられたりすることに，子どもたちは納得しているのか，不満を残しているのか。子どもたちが納得のゆく叱られ方とはどんな叱り方なのか。これらについて詳細に明らかにしている。また，親以外の地域のおとなたちから，どの程度ほめられたり叱られたりしているかについても調査している。後半では，とくにひどく叱られた体験について分析している。最近，子どもへの虐待が社会問題となりつつある。そのような現状をふまえ，子どもたちは親からひどく叱られたという体験をどの程度持っているのか。また，それはどのような状況で，どのようなやり方で叱られたのかについて，自由記述から子どもたちの生の声を拾っている。 It is no exaggeration to say that deciding how much to praise and how much to scold while raising and disciplining children is an eternal issue for parents and teachers. This survey focused mainly on parents by asking children to share details about their experiences of being praised and scolded by their guardians. The survey sought to answer the following questions: When and to what extent are children praised or scolded by their fathers and mothers? In what ways do parents praise and scold? Are children (dis)satisfied with the way they are scolded and praised? What kind of scolding do children tolerate best? Based on the survey results, the report clarifies these questions in detail. The survey also examined the extent to which children are praised or scolded by adult community members other than their parents. The latter half of the report analyzes children’s experiences of being scolded particularly harshly. Recently, child abuse has become a social problem. In light of this situation, our research has sought to ascertain the extent to which children experience severe scolding from their parents. In service of this endeavor, we have captured children’s real voices in the form of unencumbered descriptions of their scolding experiences including their parents’ methods of scolding. |
