| 概要 | 様々な教育改革の一環として，都市部を中心に，公立小中学校の学校選択制が導入され始めている。この制度では，保護者や子どもが自分で学校を選択することによって，教育への関心が高まり，学校が活性化することが期待されている。だが，こうした理念はどの程度実現されているのだろうか。 ベネッセ未来教育センターでは，学校選択制についての意識と実態について，保護者を対象に調査を行った。データからは，保護者が学校選択制を好意的に受け止め，活用している様子が明らかになった反面，課題も浮かび上がってきた。 As part of various educational reforms, a school choice system for public elementary and junior high schools is being introduced, especially in urban areas. It is hoped that this system will pique interest in education and revitalize schools by allowing parents and children to choose the schools the latter will attend. However, to what extent are these principles being realized? The Benesse Center for Future Education surveyed parents’ awareness of the school choice system and the actual situation. The data showed that parents have a favorable impression of the school choice system and are utilizing it, but it also revealed some issues. |
