| 概要 | 21世紀を前に，勤労者の生活を取り巻く環境は大きな変容を迎えている。経済・社会面では国際化，情報化，高齢化が，生活設計の面では人生60年代のシステムを80年代に向けて大きく制度変更しなければならない事態に入っている。連合では，当面する生活闘争の目標を「欧米なみのゆとりある生活」の実現におき，生活の「質」を重視した運動に取り組んでいる。そこで連合組合員の生活の現状，当面している生活課題とその問題点，生活意識など生の声や意見を聞き，これからの生活闘争を強力に推進するための基礎的資料を得ることを目的として本調査が実施された。実施に当たり留意した点は次のとおり。(1)生活実態調査については1984年，85年にも行っており，家計収支の現状と主要生活課題（住宅，教育，労働時間と休日・休暇問題など）の実態と問題点などは，設問の継続により時系列比較検討し，あわせ，住宅と労働時間，休日・休暇問題は設問を追加し，今日的問題点を明らかにした。(2)日本の勤労者の生活課題の到達点と問題点，勤労者を取り巻く生活環境の変化のもとでの生活スタイルの変化や現行生活保障システムなどについて明らかになるよう設問を工夫。また，資産や地域間格差の拡大化についても聞いている。 The lives of workers are changing dramatically as they approach the 21st century. Internationalization, informatization, aging of the population is advancing in the socio-economic world. We are faced with the situation where we have to largely change our institution, which assumes peoples' lives to be 60 years, into one that assumes peoples' lives to be 80 years. RENGO has been engaged in a movement which aims to bring "quality" into life, and has set a short-term goal of its "life struggle" to raise the "quality" standard up to the European and American standards. This survey was conducted for the purpose of obtaining the basic data necessary to advance its "life struggle" more stringently. The survey asked questions such as what the current situation of RENGO union members' lives is like, and what their wishes and problems are in every day lives. The characteristics of this survey are as follows. (1) RENGO conducted Surveys of Life in 1984 and 1985; some of the search items used today were already included in the 1984 and 1985 surveys. Those items are current financial situation of the household and major concerns of life (housing, education, working hours and holiday and vacation days). Answers to those items were compared between 1984/1985 and current. In addition, with regards to housing, working hours and holiday and vacation days, more questions were included in order to clarify what the present problems are. (2) Questions were carefully examined so that the achievements and problems of Japanese workers lives, the changing life style of workers and the contents of current life-security system could be understood. Also, questions regarding assets and the widening of a regional disparity were included. |

| 母集団 | 連合加盟組織の世帯主組合員（独身単身生計者を含む）。但し，次のような世帯は除いた。(1)事業収入や家業収入のある世帯，(2)長期療養者や障害者のいる世帯，(3)世帯主の長期出張や単身赴任者がいる「二重」生活者。 Members of sub-organizations under RENGO, who are head of the household (including those who are single). The following households, however, were excluded. (1) Households which have income from business including family business. (2) Households which include persons under long medical treatment or persons with disability. (3) Households the head of which is on a long business trip or lives away from his family for work-related reasons. |
