| 概要 | 統計法に基づく指定統計第114号として、文化、健康など社会的な面を明らかにする基本統計として始められた第1回調査。 第3次活動に特に重点を置き、第3次活動の生活全体の中での位置づけや、第3次活動の質的な内容を明らかにすることを狙いとしている。（睡眠、食事などの生理的に必要な行動を第1次活動、有業者の仕事、学生の勉強などの義務的、拘束的な行動を第2次活動とし、それら以外の自由時間、余暇などと称されるものを第3次活動としている。） 標本は約7万6千世帯が抽出された。 The 1st round of the Shakai Seikatsu Kihon Chosa, conducted as "Designated Statistics No. 114" under the Statistics Act, to provide fundamental statistics on aspects related to culture, health, etc. While the Japanese name of the survey has remained unchanged throughout, the official English translation of this first round is "Basic Survey on Social Life," while the official translation from the second round (1981) onward is "Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities." Dividing activities into three broad areas -- primary activities (physiologically necessary activities such as sleeping and eating), secondary activities (obligatory and/or restrictive activities such as working or studying), and tertiary activities (all other activities usually referred to as leisure or "free time" activities) -- the survey places special emphasis on tertiary activities and aims to illuminate the position of tertiary activities in people's lives overall and the qualitative nature of these activities. About 76,000 households were sampled for the survey. |
