| 概要 | World Values Surveyは，価値観の変化とそれが社会や政治に与える影響を研究する社会科学者のグローバルネットワークであり，WVS協会はオーストリアのウィーンに本部を置いている。 本調査は1981年に開始され，各国において最も厳密で質の高い調査設計を追求している。WVSは，世界人口の90％近くを占める約120カ国で基本的に共通の質問票を用いて実施される国別代表調査で構成されている。WVSは，人間の信念や価値観に関する非営利かつ国際的な時系列調査としては最大規模であり，現在約40万人の回答者が含まれている。さらに，WVSは，世界の主要な文化圏すべてにおいて，極貧国から極富裕国まで，さまざまな価値観変動をカバーする唯一の学術研究である。 WVSは，科学者や政策立案者が，世界中の人々の信念，価値観，動機の変化を理解するための一助となることを目指している。経済発展，民主化，宗教，男女平等，社会資本，主観的幸福などのテーマを分析することができる。 本データは，世界価値観調査のWave1～7の累積データである。世界価値観調査については，公式サイトも参照されたい。https://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/wvs.jsp The World Values Survey is a global network of social scientists who study changing values and their impact on society and politics. The WVS Association is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. This survey was first conducted in 1981, and each country pursues the most rigorous and high-quality survey design. The WVS consists of country-representative surveys conducted in about 120 countries, representing nearly 90% of the world's population, using essentially the same questionnaire. The WVS is the largest non-profit, international time-series survey of human beliefs and values and currently includes about 400,000 respondents. Furthermore, the WVS is the only academic study that covers a wide range of value variations in all primary cultures of the world, from the very poor to the very rich. WVS aims to help scientists and policymakers understand the changing beliefs, values, and motivations of people around the world. Topics such as economic development, democratization, religion, gender equality, social capital, and subjective well-being can be analyzed. The data presented here are cumulative data from Waves 1-7 of the World Values Survey.
