| 概要 | 家庭教育の重要性が指摘される中で，ともすれば，今を生きる母親たちの生活実感とはやや離れた「あるべき論」が提唱されることがある。しかし，まず実際の姿をとらえ，問題があるとすれば，そこから解決策をともに考えていく必要があるだろう。そこで，小学校3年生から中学校3年生をもつ家庭での子育ての実態，およびしつけや教育に関する母親の意識をつかむことを目的に，本調査は実施された。 この調査とほぼ同じ内容の調査を1997年，年少児から小学校2年生の保護者を対象に実施しており，今回の対象者と合わせると幼稚園・小学校・中学校のすべての学年を網羅したことになる。子どもの成長とともに母親の子育て意識はどのように変化していくのか，12学年の推移が把握できる貴重なデータとなっている。 Amid comments on the importance of education at home, some propose a “theory of how things should be” that is apt to differ somewhat from the feeling of life as actually lived by today’s mothers. However, what is necessary in the first place is to capture the actual situation, and if there is a problem, to start from there and think about a solution together. Hence, this survey was conducted to capture the actual state of childrearing in homes with children from third grade in elementary school to third year in junior high school and mothers’ attitudes toward discipline and education. A survey with almost the exact same content as this survey was conducted in 1997 on the guardians of children from the first year of kindergarten to second grade of elementary school, and when combined with the subjects of this survey, all years from kindergarten through elementary school to junior high school are covered. The data are valuable in allowing an understanding of trends in how mothers’ attitudes to child-rearing change with their children’s growth over 12 school years. |
